June where both Saturday and Sunday are in June
Race starts at 10:00 am

The Lake to Lake 10K Trail Run/Hike traverses the biking and
hiking trail that winds over babbling rivers and gently-rolling
hills, and through cool forests, amazing wetlands and tall grass
prairies in the Kettle Moraine State Forest-Northern Unit. This
crushed limestone trail connects the Mauthe Lake and Long Lake
Recreation Areas. The 2-mile Around Mauthe Lake Family Fun Walk follows
the Tamarack Trail around beautiful Mauthe Lake. Both routes have
very gentle slopes, no steep hills.

The Wisconsin State Park System vehicle admission
fees are being waived for the State Parks System's Open House.
• From 10:30 am to 2:30 pm, a Spring Nature Fest for all ages
including the following activity areas: Alien Attack, Fascinating
Fish, Birds of a Feather and Nature Printing (bring a T-shirt for
printing or purchase one that day).

Event Organizers and Beneficiaries
The race is being organized by three non-profit groups. All the
proceeds will go to support their service projects:
• Friends of the Kettle Moraine for the Henry S. Reuss Ice Age
Visitor Center educational displays
• Long Lake Preservation Association for control of invasive exotic
species in Long Lake and the state’s Clean Boats Clean Waters
Program
• Dundee Long Lake Lions Club for local humanitarian relief and
Wisconsin vision services.
Location: Kettle Moraine State Forest-Northern Unit
Registration, Nature Fest and 2-mile Around the Lake Family Fun Walk
will be at the Mauthe Lake Recreation Area. Lake to Lake 10 K Trail
Runners and Hikers will be bussed to the starting line at the Long
Lake Recreation Area and will finish at the Mauthe Lake Recreation
Area..
Course: Lake to Lake 10K (6.1 miles) Trail
Run/Hike will be run over a crushed limestone bike trail between
Long Lake and Mauthe Lake. The 2-mile Around the Lake Family Fun
Walk will be on a forested trail around Mauthe Lake.
Note: Due to course conditions,
rollerblades and roller skates will not be allowed. For safety,
headphones and dogs are not allowed.
Lake to Lake 10K Entry Fee: $20 if received on
or before 05/07/2010; $25 if received between
05/08/10 and 05/21/10; $28 if
received after 5/22/10 through race day
2-mile Around-the-Lake Entry Fee: $12/person
(includes a T-shirt) or $40/family (includes 4 T-shirts); T-shirts
guaranteed with registrations received by
05/21/2010.
Awards: Top male and female runners in each
age division; Top male and female overall winners. The hikers and
walkers will not be timed or receive awards
10K Run Age Groups: Male/Female: 13 and under;
14-18; 19-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59, 60-69; 70+
Race Starts at 10:00 am
Race day registration and packet pick-up at the Mauthe Lake Picnic
Shelter from 8:00 am to 9:30 am. Last bus to Long Lake leaves at
9:35 am.
Registration closes promptly at 9:30 am
T-shirts not guaranteed for race day registrants
No dogs allowed at this event.
Free Parking: Mauthe Lake Recreation Area
Pre & Post Race:
There
will be food and refreshments sales available before and after the
race.
